A little boy has died after being mauled by two dogs in central western NSW on Tuesday morning.
The two-year-old boy was left fighting for life after he was attacked at around 10.20am at a motel on Grenfell Road in Cowra.
Local officers rushed to the scene but the boy had already been taken to Cowra Hospital with injuries to his face and neck.
He was then taken to Westmead Hospital with “serious injuries” but tragically died.
A police spokesman said they believe he was bitten by the two dogs, which have been seized by the local government.
Police established a crime scene at the motel as specialist officers continue to investigate the incident.
