Warren Beatty accused of grooming, sexually abusing minors in 1973 – National

A woman has come forward to launch a lawsuit against Hollywood legend Warren Beatty, accusing the actor of grooming her when she was just 14 years old and forcing her to have sex.

Kristina Charlotte Hirsch filed a lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a 2019 California law that opened a three-year “look-back window” for victims of child sexual abuse to sue their abusers regardless of the statute of limitations. The window expires in December. 31.

The lawsuit does not name Beatty, but refers to him as Defendant Doe, while the abuser is described as a figure of Clyde in Bonnie and Clydea role that earned Beatty a Best Actor nomination at the Academy Awards.

So far, there has been no public comment on the lawsuit from Beatty, 85, or his attorney.

Hirsch, who was 14 at the time, claims that Beatty, then 35, met her on a film set where he was filming and gave her “unnecessary attention”.

The defendant “repeatedly commented on her appearance, gave her his phone number and invited her to call him,” the complaint states.

Hirsch was initially “intrigued” by the Hollywood actor and accepted Beatty’s invitation to visit his hotel room, according to the lawsuit — an invitation that Beatty would extend again and again.

“During 1973, Defendant Doe called Plaintiff on numerous occasions and invited the teenager to the hotel where he lived to spend time with him,” the lawsuit states.

The suit continues that Beatty would take Hirsch for car rides, offered to help her with her homework and on multiple occasions “talked to the plaintiff about losing her virginity.”

As their relationship progressed, the lawsuit says Beatty used his status “as an adult and Hollywood movie star” to coerce her into sexual activities with him. The sexual abuse occurred multiple times until late 1973 and included oral sex, simulated sex and “ultimately forced sexual intercourse with the minor,” the lawsuit states.

Hirsch is suing Beatty on charges of sexual assault, sexual abuse and child molestation, and is seeking damages for mental, physical and emotional distress.

The lawsuit states that Hirsch was the victim of “predatory grooming” and “believed she was having an affair with a movie star.”

After being sexually abused as a child, Hirsch has difficulty interacting with people, especially those in positions of power, as she struggles with “trust and control,” the lawsuit says.

Hirsch has requested a trial by jury and is seeking attorney’s fees as well as damages. She is represented by Jeff Anderson & Associates, a firm that has handled child abuse cases against the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts of America.
