MaryLynne Drexler appointed head of commercial and legal affairs for Warner’s ADA worldwide

ADA Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent publishing and artist service, has appointed MaryLynne Drexler as head of business and legal affairs.

Drexler joins ADA after several years with Sony Music’s The Orchard.

In her new role, ADA says Drexler will help shape its global strategy while overseeing artist and distribution deals, as well as acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, new technologies and strategic partnerships.

Also announced today is that Bryan Roberts has been named VP, A&R and Label Acquisition for the company.

Based in New York, both Drexler and Roberts will report to ADA Worldwide President Cat Kreidich.

Drexler began her career in the music industry in 2014 at Sony Music’s RED Distribution in the Business & Legal Affairs department before moving to The Orchard.

She most recently served as VP, Business & Legal Affairs for The Orchard’s Artist and Label Services division.

Roberts joined the company earlier this summer after previously holding multiple roles at Sony Music, The Orchard, including his last, Senior Director, A&R.

Working closely with Kreidich and the global team, ADA says Roberts will help “spear the development and growth of the company, bringing new talent and partners to the fold.”

“MaryLynne has a good reputation. She’s exactly the type of executive you want in your corner – an expert negotiator, deal maker and big thinker, she always puts the music and the artist first.”

“And I’m delighted to welcome Bryan to the team – his connections and unparalleled creative nature will be a game-changer.” With these appointments, we are in a great position to take ADA to the next level.”
