In the celebratory video, Romano said she wasn’t sure the show would ever air:

“So today’s episode is tough. I thought about pulling it completely – deleting it – the video, the audio, everything.”

With a heavy, sad sigh, the Even Stevens alum said her guest should be Carter:

“Today’s guest was supposed to be Aaron Carter. Aaron Carter has passed away since the video was made and when I heard about his death I was deeply affected by it.”

The 38-year-old said 7. heaven alum didn’t come, so she decided to change the angle of her content:

“When he didn’t come, I decided to continue with my material and turn to talking about my responsibility and my journey soberly, but was always checking to see if he was still coming.

She said she kept asking her producers if he was going to show up – all the while feeling anxious and doom-and-gloom:

“I was asking my producer, ‘Have you heard anything?’ Have you seen anything?’ I was definitely worried and I think the tension was palpable. I instinctively felt that something bad was going to happen to him, like soon.”

Heartbreakingly, she expressed her displeasure when she said:

“Unfortunately, I was right.”

So, so sad.

The Kim Possible The star said she plans to continue broadcasting the podcast, but wants her intentions to be clear:

“The reason I do it is because I want to spread awareness and I want to highlight that sobriety is not a linear journey. I want to highlight that Aaron was a very vibrant person who had a lot to live for and although we may not know all that he was going through or the circumstances of his passing that he has a family and he has a child that he will leave behind .”

Romano said she was “basically giving it up to God as to why it turned out the way it did” and encouraged anyone listening to seek help if they are struggling. She also said she believes earlier intervention may have saved him:

I also think that intervention may have happened for Aron early in his younger life as a productive child and while I’m a content creator, I’m also a mother and I’m a person who has a message in what I’m doing for this podcast. I want change, I want reform, I want advocacy, I want to see my friends live so all the disclaimers are here for you to understand you know go watch this episode of Sensitive.”
