Jimmy Fallon Stops #RIPJimmyFallon Tweets

Jimmy Fallon is not dead – despite what some Twitter posts would have people believe!

The rumors apparently all started last night when someone tweeted jokingly that Jimmy was dead, but included a picture of James Corden’s second dinner.

“Gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace king 🕊🥀 Sept. 19 1974-15. November 2022 #RIPJimmyFallon,” several tweets read.

It didn’t take long for #RIPJimmyFallon to start trending anyway, causing concern among some fans.

Luckily, Jimmy was quick to step in and set the record straight…and ask Elon Musk for a little help clearing things up.

Despite not even tagging Elon, the Twitter CEO noticed the message — but wasn’t much help.

“Guess what?” Elon simply replied, not seeming to understand that Jimmy wanted the hashtag removed.

A few hours after his original tweet, Elon followed up again, directing Jimmy to the Community Notes team.

While the hashtag is still around, thankfully most people now seem to understand that it’s a joke.

And thankfully Jimmy is still with us, despite some misinformation on Twitter!
