There’s no other way to put it: The Brooklyn Nets got beat on Tuesday night.
The team fell to the Sacramento Kings in a stunning 153-121 loss that was hard to watch.
So far, the season hasn’t been great for Nets fans, but Tuesday night was definitely the lowest moment yet.
Now there’s talk of how upset the team is and the behind-the-scenes drama that leads to such disruption.

Shams Charania reports the Nets are getting frustrated with Ben Simmons’ availability and level of play.
He added that there are some who question his passion for the game.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this criticism about Simmons, but it’s surprising to hear that those in the Nets front office feel this way.
So, what’s next for Simmons and the ailing Nets?
Ben with Brooklyn
On Tuesday night, Simmons had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
That matches his 2022-23 averages of 5.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists.
In his final season with the Philadelphia 76ers, Simons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists.
In other words, the man is not living up to the player he once was.
Since joining the Nets, Simmons has yet to have a great night that got fans excited.
Instead, most of his performances have been mediocre and not even close to exciting.
Simmons is a three-time All-Star and was the 2017-18 Rookie of the Year, but he doesn’t even look close to those things right now.
There has been much speculation about what is next for Simmons.
The Nets aren’t happy with him and he’s not getting better – so will Brooklyn trade him?
And if they do, who can they get in exchange for him?
Let’s be honest, what team will jump at the chance to sign him?
