Meta sues in UK to stop collection of personal data for advertising

Tanya O’Carroll, a technology and human rights campaigner, filed a lawsuit at London’s High Court challenging Facebook’s “surveillance ads,” according to the law firm representing her, AWO. Facebook is violating general privacy rules by processing and presenting her personal information that is then customized for the ads, they claim.
