Danny Masterson rape trial: Jury says it’s over – National

Judges at the rape trial in That 70s show Star Danny Masterson said on Friday they were close to death, but a judge told them they hadn’t considered long enough for her to declare a mistrial.

The jury told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo that after nearly three days of deliberation, they could not reach a unanimous verdict on any of the three rape charges against the actor.

Olmedo had already agreed to allow jurors a Thanksgiving week off.

She suspended their talks on Friday and told them to return and resume discussions in November. 28.

Actor Danny Masterson has to go to trial on 3 counts of rape

Masterson, 46, is accused of raping three women, including an ex-girlfriend, at his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003.

He has pleaded not guilty and the defense said the act was consensual.

Masterson, 46, did not testify during the trial.

His attorney did not enter a plea, instead focusing on inconsistencies in the accounts of the three defendants, who he said changed their accounts over time and spoke to each other before going to police.
